“NO” on WARD Ballot Initiative
The union is voting AGAINST the Water Adequacy Initiative (WARD). WARD claims to address two issues Bozemanites care about: the housing crisis and sustainability. But, because WARD offers no public investment to ensure affordable units can be built, it is effectively a moratorium or halt on building homes for tenants, and would lead to more sprawl in the county, which neither supports affordability nor sustainability. The tenant union sees WARD as a false solution to the crisis that we feel every day.
